Play Our 'Pick the Oscars Winners' Contest

Name your favorite in each category and win a gift certificate from a local business.

The helped put many of them on the map, but for the big contenders for the Academy Awards, showtime is upon us. So who wants to jump in and try to predict the winners in some of the categories?

We at Mill Valley Patch are giving away a $25 gift certificate to our local cinematic icon, the theatre, to whomever gets the most correct answers from Sunday night's awards show. All you have to do is post in the comments below your choice in each of the categories we have listed here. For example, just type in Best Picture - The Fighter. Best Actor - Colin Firth, and so on.

What happens if there is a tie? We have a tiebreaker category, and we would then draw a name if there's still a tie after using the tiebreaker category!
