Mill Valley Featured in Departures Magazine, Author Asks For Your Review

Mill Valley native, Marc Smirnoff, recently made a visit back to his charming hometown, inspiring his latest article for Departures travel magazine.

Included in his 2,000 word feature is a look at, what he calls, Eden on Earth, where hippies and billionaires coexist among nature's splendor.
Smirnoff told Patch that over the past 25 years, he has only visited Mill Valley sparingly, so during a spring visit this April, he strove with zeal to see if it had changed and if so, whether it had changed for better or worse. 

"Because I met and quizzed so many wonderful characters and because I observed the town avidly and, I hope, with openness, I think I present in this article a fresh and accurate view of Mill Valley circa 2013," he said, "well, as fresh and accurate as an outsider can be in 2,000 words —but that, of course, is my own biased opinion and it is not for me to judge whether I have failed or not." 

Because of that he is now asking you to be the judge, telling Patch, he hopes our readers will evaluate and respond accordingly. 

"That’s a job for people who know the current Mill Valley better than I do, I hope your readers can inspect the piece and let the editors at Departures, or me, know your thoughts."
