FAMILY BEST BETS OF THE WEEK

Where/When: Mill Valley Community Center, 180 Camino Alto, Mill Valley, Wednesday 9 a.m.-noon.

Why Go: Because the kids have created a bounce house in the living room. Reclaim it. It used to be yours. In return, take them here to burn off some of that energy.  

Pricing: $5 for one child, $7 for the whole family.

IRISH DANCERS

Where/When: Novato Public Library, 1720 Novato, Blvd., Novato, Thursday, 6:30-7:30pm.

Why Go: Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with these wonderful dancers from the Brosnan School of Dance. The kids will love their lightning fast feet and gorgeous costumes. Erin go bragh.  

Pricing: free 

LION DANCE TEAM 

Where/When: Corte Madera Library, 707 Meadowsweet Dr., Corte Madera, Saturday,11am-noon.

Why Go: Have the kids ever had a chance to get up close and personal with these amazing lion dancers? Celebrate the Year of the Rabbit. Gung Hay Fat Choy.

Pricing: Free

TALL TALES

Where/When: Marin Theatre Company, 397 Miller Avenue, Mill Valley, Saturday & Sunday (next weekend too), 1-2 p.m.

Why Go: Because this show is chock full of larger than life characters, giant blue oxen and American myth all wrapped into one awesome hour. Thank you, Marin Theatre Company. 

Pricing: $15 adult/senior, $10 child (for ages 5-11)

PURIM PALOOZA

Where/When: Osher Marin Jewish Community Center, 200 N. San Pedro Rd., San Rafael, Sunday, 11:30-2:30pm

Why Go: Because everybody is invited to this free carnival celebrating Purim. There’s plenty to do, including a bounce house (see above), arts and crafts, face painting, great food, and more. Have the kids dress in costume and join the parade.

Pricing: Free. One tradition of Purim is to give to those in need so bring a donation of at least one package of food.
