Where/When: Mill Valley Library, 375 Throckmorton Ave., Mill Valley, Friday 7pm-9:30pm

Why Go: Take three scenes from iconic films, project and mute them, then let creative performers loose with their own scripts. Be inspired. A wine reception before and after the show sweetens the deal.

Pricing: Free but register early. Must be 15+ to attend.

2. FRANK OLIVER’S COMEDY THRILL SHOW

Where/When: 142 Throckmorton Theatre, 142 Throckmorton Ave., Mill Valley, Saturday 8pm

Why Go: Because the rain keeps coming and it’s time for a good belly laugh. Check out these three comedians for an evening of smart and zany humor.

3. EADWEARD MUYBRIDGE IN A TIME OF CHANGE

Where/When: SFMOMA, 151 Third St., San Francisco, 2/27-6/7 Friday-Sunday hours 11am-5:45pm

Why Go: Yes, it’s a trip over the bridge but it's so worth it. This wonderful exhibit is the first ever retrospective of Muybridge’s pioneering photography. You’ll want to see this show more than once.  

Pricing: $18 adults, $12 seniors, $9 students, free to kids under 12  & members

4. RARE, SPECIAL BOOKS & CHARMING OLDIES

Where/When: San Rafael Library Meeting Room, 1100 E. Street, San Rafael, Saturday 10am-3pm

Why Go: Pre-1950 books. There’s bound (pun intended) to be some real treasures here so go forth, peruse and collect.

5. MONOPRINTING

Where/When: O’Hanlon Center for the Arts, 616 Throckmorton Ave., Mill Valley, Sunday 10am-2pm

Why Go: Ready to let your creative juices flow?  How about a try at monoprinting.  This workshop gives you the opportunity to explore and experiment. C’mon, make something beautiful.

Pricing: $40, $32 OHCA members, $5 materials fee
