The Musicals Man

The Mountain Play Association is proud to present their annual fall fundraising gala, The Musicals Man: A Celebration of James Dunn’s 30 year legacy of directing for the Mountain Play. James Dunn will be retiring from his long tenure at the artistic helm of the 98-year-old theatre association.  A retrospective cabaret show will feature current and former stars reprising songs from nearly all of the Mountain Play shows Dunn directed in the amphitheatre since Henry V in 1981.

A champagne and cocktail reception, gourmet tapas-style cuisine from favorite local restaurants paired with local wines, silent and live auctions, followed by a fabulous two-act Broadway revue, featuring familiar Mountain Play talents including Susan Zelinsky, Sharon Boucher, Randy Nazarian, Kelly Ground, Matt Kizer and Andy Truett. This hugely popular event sells out.

The annual fall benefit kicks off the production season, helping raise much-needed funds to begin work on James Dunn’s swan song for the association – the spring 2012 production of The Music Man.
