"I rig stuff, I blow stuff up and then I teach others how to do it." That's how Geordie Martinez, the Mill Valley Public Library's First Thursday speaker for May, describes his job at Industrial Light & Magic (ILM). Founded in 1975 by George Lucas, ILM is the special effects force behind the entire Star Wars saga, and many more blockbusters, including the Indiana Jones series, the Harry Potter movies and the Jurassic Park movies, just to name a few. On May 3rd, Geordie is going to create some visual sorcery at the Library and then reveal the method behind his magic.
