Benefit Concert featuring the Pacific Choir

A benefit concert for the humanitarian work in Cambodia of 1995 Tam High graduate Katherine Parker will be Saturday evening, November 5, 2011, at 6:30 p.m. at  Mt. Tamalpais United Methodist Church in Mill Valley.  The concert will feature the acclaimed Pacific Choir, which has performed at Davies Symphony Hall, the Pacific Youth Choir, which has performed at the Herbst Theatre and several children's choirs.   Katherine Parker is completing her fourth year of work in Cambodia, focused on alleviating poverty and developing leadership.

The Pacific Choir performs a repertoire of sacred and classical work, extending from Bach, Brahms, Faure, and Rutter to folk songs and spirituals.  Jaesung Choi is the Artistic Director.  Before accepting the leadership of the Pacific Choir, he directed the Gospel Singing Mission, Hankook Glee Club, and other choral groups both in Korea and the United States.  He has translated many choral works into Korean.
