Art Class: Driven to Abstraction with Bernard Healey

Mill Valley artist Bernard Healey studied at the Art Institute in San Francisco and is a graduate of the Academy of Advertising Art. He's been painting in acrylics since the 1960's.

Bernard is currently on the faculty of the College of Marin Emeritus Community Education and an instructor at the Mill Valley Community Center art department.  He has garnered numerous awards as a Member of the Marin Society of Artists, Artist Member of MOCA.

Gain insight into abstract expressionism. You will learn how to simplify your paintings by employing shapes, textures, color manipulation, and composition theory while working on your own project throughout this unique and interesting course.

Beginners and advanced students accepted.  Materials list will be supplied upon registration.

When:6 Fridays, January 7 to February 11, 2011.
