Dustin Hoffman Honored at 35th Mill Valley Film Festival
Legendary actor's first film as a director, "Quartet," was screened for a sold-out crowd during the Smith Rafael Film Center Tuesday night.
With appearances by Bradley Cooper, Billy Bob Thornton, John Hawkes and Helen Hunt so far, the 35th Mill Valley Film Festival hasn't lacked for star power.
Hollywood legend Dustin Hoffman, star of such films as Midnight Cowboy, All the President’s Men, Rain Man and The Graduate, raised the stakes Tuesday night, appearing for a career tribute and a screening of his debut film as a director, Quartet, which stars Maggie Smith as an aging opera diva.
