Viewfinder: The Heat is On
The sun has returned to MIll Valley after weeks of rain. Residents could not wait to get outside and celebrate the begining of spring.
The sun is out. The temperature is rising and spring has arrived. Residents that have been huddled in their homes avoiding the rain emerged this week to assess the storm damage and enjoy the sunshine.
The line to buy frozen yogurt was out the door at Woody’s Ice Cream Parlor in Strawberry Village Wednesday afternoon. Our Viewfinder captured a couple of girls from Strawberry Point enjoying some chocolate and mint chip ice cream.
At Boyle Park, the play structure was full with toddlers that could not wait to be back outside. On the nearby tennis courts, children were taking lessons and adults were working up a sweat.

The warmer weather is helping to dry out the saturated hillsides around Mill Valley including the below Ethel Avenue that caused the evaluation of a couple of homes. In downtown, work crews took the break in the weather as an opportunity to remove a large eucalyptus tree next to Mill Creek Plaza.
