Hundreds of children and their parents turned out for the Tamalpais Community Service District annual Winter Magic Snow Day event on Saturday. The event featured breakfast with Santa and Mrs. Claus as well as cookie decorating, crafts, a jumpee and games.

But one attraction drew most of the day's fanfare: 20 tons of snow that served as a manmade sledding hill.
