Mollie Stone's Donates 10 Percent of Profits on World AIDS Day

The local store is helping present the fundraiser Paint the Castro Red on San Francisco on Dec. 1.

In honor of World AIDS Day on Dec. 1, Mollie Stone’s Market is helping present Paint the Castro Red, a fundraising and awareness event in San Francisco's Castro neighborhood.

“[The event] will commemorate the many San Franciscans who have been lost to AIDS and inspire our community into action -- to get tested for HIV and prevent future infection and to help those affected by HIV/AIDS, by raising funds for local AIDS service providers,” wrote Liz Milks of Mollie Stone's Markets in a press release.

Mollie Stone’s, which has a location in Greenbrae, is donating 10 percent of sales on Dec. 1 from their Castro location to local nonprofits: AIDS Emergency Fund, AIDS Legal Referral Panel, Asian & Pacific Islander Wellness Center, Maitri, National AIDS Memorial Grove, Positive Resource Center, Project Inform, Project Open Hand, San Francisco AIDS Foundation, Shanti, and Visual Aid.
