Discover Dragonflies at Audubon Canyon Ranch's Mayacamas Mountains Sanctuary

Join Kathy and Dave Biggs of Madrone Audubon Society on a hike to find and identify the dragonflies found at Audubon Canyon Ranch’s Mayacamas Mountains Sanctuary. Dragonfly behavior and biology will be explained as participants hike past seeps, springs, ponds, creeks and the Russian River. Each habitat should present explorers with different Dragonfly and Damselfly species.

The trips are open to the public and suitable for ages 12 and up.

Sturdy walking shoes are recommended. Bring lunch and water and wear shoes and clothing that can get wet. Close focus binoculars and a ten-power or higher hand lens will be helpful.
