This photo, taken by an airman stationed up at West Peak, shows Throckmorton Ave. before the redwood trees were planted on the median island.
For as long as most residents can recall, the strip of retail shops and salons along the stretch of Throckmorton Ave. in downtown Mill Valley have been dwarfed by a trio of redwood trees in the island that sits at its median.
