Don’t miss a special evening of rock, blues and Americana with a joint show of the Jesse Brewster Band and the Stefanie Keys Band on Thursday, Jan. 9 at the Sweetwater Music Hall, 19 Corte Madera Ave. in Mill Valley. Doors open at 7 with the show at 8 p.m.

Although Jesse Brewster had toured with many major bands, his more recent solo endeavors have created a buzz in both the Bay Area and throughout the country, whether he is playing a solo acoustic show or with his band. The singer, songwriter and guitarist’s sound fuses a rock and Americana style. His songs God Fearin’ Man, All She Deserves and My Great Escape have garnered much acclaim.

Stefanie Keys performs her own blend of Americana rock and soul with a few covers thrown in. Keys is a nationally known singer, having appeared with 420 funk mob, Tommy Castro, and Janis Joplin’s original band Big Brother & the Holding Company. Also having performed with members of Lynyrd Skynyrd, the Bay Area vocalist is recognized for her unique throaty delivery of the tunes she croons.

Cover charge is $12 in advance or $15 at the door. For reservations, go to www.sweetwatermusichall.com or call 415-388-3850. Additional information is available at www.jessebrewster.com or at www.stefaniekeys.com.
