"Songs of the Soul" festival

"Songs of the Soul" festival will take place Friday, May 30, 2014, from 7:00 to 9:30 pm and Saturday, May 31, from 9:30 am to 3:00 pm at the Mill Valley Community Center, 180 Camino Alto, Mill Valley, California. The event, sponsored by International Association of Sufism, will include music on Friday evening by Taneen Sufi Music Ensemble and Eliyahu & Qadim Ensemble. Poetry will be presented by Daniel Abdal-Hayy Moore and Ayay-I-Janaan on Saturday. A conversation on "Cosmology & Spirituality" will also take place between Professors Brian Swimme and Richard Tarnas, of the California Institute of Integral Studies. The Rev. Heng Sure, Dr. Nahid Angha and Dr. Ali Kianfar will also be speakers on Saturday.
Tickets are $65 for both days in advance by May 20 or $95 at the door; Tickets for individual days are also available from $20 advance. The event is open to the public. Information (415) 472-6959; details or pay online: www.ias.org.
