Mill Valley Tae Kwon Do Team Represents USA in International Competition

Five Black Belt students from Master Roger Carlon’s West America Tae Kwon Do school of Mill Valley, CA participated at the Seventh Annual World Tae Kwon Do Culture Expo that took place in Muju, one of Tae Kwon Do’s founding cities in South Korea. The international Tae Kwon Do tournament had about 2,000 athletes from 31 different countries who participated in various seminars and competitions at this six-day expo, held under the theme of "Youth, Dream, Friendship and Coexistence." The West America Tae Kwon Do team had been invited to represent USA at this international tournament. Master Roger Carlon is a sixth degree black belt who has coached over 60 national champions since opening his studio in 1983. Team West America Tae Kwon Do returned with six medals: Chantal Carlon (3rd), Roger Carlon Jr (2nd), Camille Beaudan (3rd), James Gilbeaux (1st), Mieke Rosecrans (1st and 3rd). Master Carlon’s teacher and coach, Grand Master Kim is pictured with Team West America Tae Kwon Do.
