Great Service Learning Opportunities for Youth at Marin JFCS

Team Tzedek, a Jewish Family and Children’s Services (JFCS) program that provides middle school students and their families with opportunities to engage in value-based service learning and meaningful volunteer activities, will start up in Marin County on Tues., Nov. 12, 6:00 – 8:00 pm, at the JFCS office in San Rafael, 600 Fifth Ave. Throughout the school year,  Team Tzedek members will  learn to put their values into action and  make a difference in the lives of the elderly, adults with disabilities, and low-income families by participating in three learning sessions and three service activities. Students will gain a better understanding of the challenges faced by people in their community and how they can help, along with receiving academic service learning credit. Team Tzedek is part of JFCS’s YouthFirst Program, which includes leadership and service opportunities for middle school and high school students in Marin.  To RSVP or receive more information, contact Alli Darrow, Marin JFCS YouthFirst Coordinator, at 415-419-3641 or AlliD@jfcs.org.  Learn more about Marin JFCS’ Team Tzedek schedule here.
