Dine Out to End Hunger on Nov. 21

Ignite the holiday glow on Thursday, Nov. 21, when nine top restaurants will offer “Dine Out to End Hunger” to support Homeward Bound of Marin.

The partner restaurants, led by Piatti Ristorante & Bar in Mill Valley, will donate 20 percent of dinner revenue on that date to Homeward Bound’s programs for homeless men, women and children in Marin.

Other restaurant partners are  Il Fornaio in Corte Madera; Insalata’s and Marinitas in San Anselmo; Rickey’s Restaurant in Novato; The Station House Café in Point Reyes Station; The Tavern at Lark Creek and Yankee Pier in Larkspur; and Vin Antico in San Rafael.

It’s easy! No coupon or advance registration is needed to participate – just make reservations directly with the restaurant, which has pledged to donate 20 percent of all food revenue that night.

The annual event, sponsored by Bank of Marin, is part of National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week.

Homeward Bound of Marin is the county’s primary provider of shelter and services for homeless families and individuals, serving approximately 1,100 men, women and children per year. Services include counseling and job-training programs like the Fresh Starts Culinary Academy.

This is great! Make sure it's on the community calendar as well (MillValley.patch.com/events) and I will highlight it on the week ahead next week!
