Baseball fans can join the San Francisco Giants, Sony Pictures Animation's "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2" and some of the nation’s leading produce companies to show their support in ending domestic hunger by taking part in "Orange Friday" - a daylong celebration that includes food donations at the park, a fundraiser for the San Francisco and Marin Food Banks and an effort to get everyone to wear orange - the color of hunger relief and the Giants - to the upcoming Giants versus Diamondbacks game.

Because of the pressing need, a group of like-minded organizations have come together to help solve hunger.Inspired by Sony Pictures Animation’s upcoming animated comedy Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2, leading produce companies, including California Giant Berry Farms, Duda Farm Fresh Foods, Grimmway Farms, and Cal-Organic, have joined forces with Feeding America and Sony Pictures Animation to help build awareness of the issue of hunger and are committed to putting more healthy, fresh produce on tables across the nation to help feed families and children who struggle with hunger.

The events are all part of Feeding America's Hunger Action Month, which occurs each September - a month-long event dedicated to raising public awareness of the more than 50 million people who strugglewith hunger in the United States. Hunger Action Month brings together the Feeding America network of food banks - such as the San Francisco and MarinFood Banks - and their 61,000 nationwide partner agencies such as food pantries, soup kitchens and shelters to urge individuals to take action in their communities and help fight hunger.

Early arrivals will be treated to complimentary pre-game fresh snacks, including baby carrots from Grimmway Farms and Cal-Organic Farms, celery sticks from Duda Farm Fresh Foods and strawberries from California Giant Berry Farms. Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 picks up where Sony Pictures Animation’s mouth-watering comedy left off. Inventor Flint Lockwood thought he saved the world when he destroyed his most infamous invention -- a machine that turned water into food causing cheeseburger rain and spaghetti tornadoes. But Flint soon learns that his invention survived and is now creating food-animals – "foodimals!"  Flint and his friends embark on a dangerously delicious mission to battle hungry tacodiles, shrimpanzees, hippotatomuses, cheespiders and other foodimals to save the world – again!   Directed by Cody Cameron and Kris Pearn.  Screenplay by Erica Rivinoja and John Francis Daley & Jonathan Goldstein.  Story by Phil Lord & Christopher Miller and Erica Rivinoja.  Inspired by the book Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs written by Judi Barrett and illustrated by Ron Barrett.  Produced by Pam Marsden and Kirk Bodyfelt.
