Award Winning Film Maker and Mill Valley Resident Tiffany Shlain to Speak at O'Hanlon Center for the Art Thurs. Aug. 15, 7-9 p.m.

O’Hanlon Center for the Arts in Mill Valley is proud to present our third annual Local Women Writers Series featuring readings by acclaimed female writers based in Marin County in conjunction with our August 2013 “Bay Area Women Artists” exhibit juried by Donna Seager and Suzanne Gray of the Seager Gray Gallery. The series features new readers every night, each sharing a passage from a recent book, essay, or short story.  A Q&A session with the audience and group discussion with the panelists follows.


The Thursday, August 15 theme will be: “The 10 Stages of the Creative Process” with Tiffany Shlain

In this talk, award-winning filmmaker and Mill Valley resident Tiffany Shlain will discuss her own creative process from hunches to creative blocks and breakthroughs from her films and her TED Book “Brain Power: From Neurons to Networks.” Her last four films have premiered at Sundance and her recent work was selected by the US State Department to represent America at embassies around the world.
