Explore our oak woodlands with our special guests, an insect expert, a bird enthusiast and a certified arborist. At 10:00AM we will start hiking from Phoenix Lake Dam to the Log Cabin. During our walk we will search for various birds, caterpillars and oaks and discuss the interconnections found in this food web. Once we arrive at the Log Cabin we will look at specimens under a microscope, watch birds through binoculars and create your very own caterpillar kit! Families are encouraged to attend. Meeting location is Phoenix Lake Dam. Arrive before 10:00AM and the gate at Natalie Coffin Greene Park will be open to allow volunteers to park next to the dam.
