In collaboration with the Mill Valley Chamber of Commerce, Evelyn Topper, member of the California Film Institute's Board of Directors announced that a record number of 24 merchants in Mill Valley participated in the 35th Mill Valley Film Festival Window Display Contest. The esteemed group of 5 judges deemed that their overall favorite was the imaginative window created by Material Grace (11 Throckmorton), and was given "The Black and White in Color Award". The judges included:
