Video Op-Ed: Make Tam Junction Safer for Bicyclists

Parents say students commuting to and from Tam Valley by bicycle face dangerous conditions in and around busy Tam Junction intersection. They're asking Caltrans and other agencies to do more.

Despite the recent momentum behind two long-delayed Tam Valley infrastructure projects - a and a - Tam Valley parents say much more is needed to make the area safe for children, particularly those commuting to and from school by bicycle. 

Longtime bike and pedestrian activist Kathy McLeod has joined with other parents in the neighborhood to form the Tam Valley Vision Group (TVVG), an organization focused on lobbying a range of agencies, from Marin County Public Works to Caltrans and the , to get behind suggested changes to the area, specifically Tam Junction. In this video op-ed, McLeod describes the unsafe conditions.
